Flow Floor-to-Standing Desk

I've had this desk for about a month now, and I'm really happy with it! At its lowest setting, it's the perfect height for me for floor-sitting as I usually sit on my shins/feet. Sitting cross-legged, the desk surface is at a good height for writing but a little high still for typing; I either use an external keyboard on my lap or sit on a floor cushion. The raising and lowering of the desk is very smooth, and as promised, the desk does not "walk" around the floor; the legs stay in the same place as the desktop raises and lowers, which is very cool. I also really like how the power cord for the desk goes through the legs, so I don't need to worry about cords hanging down or tangling, or needing a special cord minder setup. The felt does effectively block any light from the cords/internals, which I appreciate, and just looks nice. One critique is that because the felt cord basket on the rear of the desk attaches via velcro, it can't handle too much weight and is relatively small. On my previous desk, I used the only extension cord I had, which was quite heavy because it had a very long cord that I bundled up; this extension cord did not fit in this desk's cord basket, so currently I'm borrowing smaller one so I can have a computer and monitor plugged in. Speaking of monitors, this desk obviously does not have a monitor stand, and optionally comes with a bunk table. If you want a monitor, you could either have it on a desktop stand as most monitors come with, and then have that on the desk or on the bunk table depending on height. If you want a monitor arm, things become more complicated. Attach one to the bunk table seemed a little sketchy to me, but otherwise the only good place to attach a clamp-on arm would be where the bunk table itself clamps on; otherwise, the felt underdesk covers only leave about ⅕ inch of room. I solved this by sticking a ⅕" piece of wood along the rim; the wood is thick enough that the monitor arm can clamp onto that without squashing into the felt, and it feels plenty sturdy. Another nice touch about this desk is that it has 3 saved height settings: perfect for saving one for floor-sitting, one for chair-sitting, and one for standing!

I absolutely love my Marinamantra floor-to-standing desk. It has completely changed the way I work throughout the day. The design is sturdy, smooth, and easy to adjust, which makes it simple to move from sitting on the floor to standing without interrupting my workflow. I also appreciate how thoughtfully designed it is—it feels minimal, functional, and well-made without taking up too much space.

As an over 50 woman who wants more movement and flexibility in my day, this desk has been a game changer. It helps me avoid sitting in one position for too long and makes my workspace feel more comfortable and intentional. If I could leave a 4.5 star I would, as I don't give 5 stars to something unless I can't possibly think of anything that could be improved upon. With that established, I'm incredibly happy with my Flow desk so far!

Assembly: The set up instructions were very easy to follow, and the build quality is immediately apparent in that each screw has a threaded anchor for you to screw into. As opposed to drilling into composite board using a screw every single piece of furniture these days use. It is absolutely required that you have two people to lift the lower portion out of the box, and we both found it very challenging to wiggle our fingers under a stable grip to begin the lift. Marina Mantra could improve on this by adding a lift strap of some sort to the packaging, just to help fingers find intial purchase.

Desk setup: Here's where the majority of my feedback is. I'm not a big fan of the velcro to secure the cables holder to the underside of the desk. I only have a single power strip and my laptop's charing brick in there, and I struggled to get the velcro to secure and not immediately fall on my face or fall to the floor a few minutes later. A different fastening method would be a huge improvement.

Daily use: This desk is incredible! Being able to move from floor to seated to standing gives me the most flexibility I've ever had during a work day, and I immediately felt the improvement physically.

I had to reach out to Marina's support team for an error message I began receiving shortly after setting the desk up. Their team was incredibly responsive, informative, and helped me resolve the error quickly.

Over all, I can't overstate how happy I am with this desk. If Marina Mantra makes improvements to future designs with the feedback they receive on this model, I'll be a customer for life.

The desk is super nice! The build quality is amazing. It's gorgeous and honestly the only desk that goes down low enough for someone my height. It gets pretty tall as well so the range is perfect if you're sharing the desk and you have a huge height difference. My table top had a tiny scratch due to transportation handling, I reached out to them and the customer service was beyond top notch. They immediately offer resolutions and were open to working with me on a solution that works the best for both of us. I 100% recommend this product and this company. I will be referring my friends and family

This is genuinely an engineering marvel. I’ve only had it for two days so I’m unsure how it will hold up, but I already feel like it’s an incredibly deal compared to what’s on the market and truly a great desk.
